Experience an unforgettable journey through Colombia, from Bogotá to the Amazon.

This epic adventure began in Bogotá, the capital, and took us to Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast. From there, we ventured deep into the wild, untamed jungle, where we encountered the pre-Colombian tribe known as the Kogi. These indigenous people inhabit remote regions of the Sierra Nevada, a sacred mountain range that they believe encompasses all of the world's ecosystems. When Spanish invaders arrived in Colombia, the Kogi hid and remained isolated until around the year 2000. Emerging with a warning, they urged the modern world to reconsider its ways, asserting that humanity's current path was leading to the destruction of the Earth.

The Kogi are a mystical group, deeply connected to nature due to their strong beliefs. Our journey took us on a 6 day trek into the wilderness to visit the Ciudad Perdida (the Lost City), believed to have been established around 800 CE, making it roughly 650 years older than Machu Picchu in Peru.

A true marvel of building and craftsmanship. After that, we visited Medellín, famously associated with Pablo Escobar. Finally, I headed south to the Amazon, starting in a border town called Leticia, adjacent to Brazil and Peru. The Amazon was enchanting; the jungle teemed with life, from plants and insects to animals and the spirits of nature. This was an expedition of first-hand learning about indigenous cultures and our profound ties to the natural wonders of the world
